Millions March – black lives matter

On December 13, 2014, over 50,000 people came together in the streets of New York City for the Millions March. They were protesting against the recent killings (which went unpunished) of unarmed black men by white police officers, but more broadly for recognition that black lives matter and that racial discrimination and police brutality needs to end. This video, shot by myself and Annie Escobar, captures the atmosphere on the day and importantly, some of the critical issues that need to be addressed.
