ABOUT

Across her portfolio of travel, brand, lifestyle, current events and portrait photography, Nicola’s work speaks volumes about her love for people, connectedness and community.

In addition to dividing her time between her bases of New York City and Sydney, she travels frequently and has wracked up trips to some 60+ countries worldwide, doing work for editorial, not for profit and commercial clients.

When she’s not shooting, she works as the Photo Editor for the travel site www.adventure.com and is also an avid teacher of her craft, running workshops for kids and adults, as well as photography tours locally and internationally.

Nicola has also been involved in a number of solo and group exhibitions in Australia, Europe and the US. Her work has also been published in a variety of mainstream and alternative media, including among others, The Guardian, Refinery 29, and regularly for the New York Times. Her work telling the stories of non profits (through photo, video and podcast) has allowed her to contribute to raising awareness and funds for a variety of valuable causes supporting human rights and social justice.

Nicola is the recipient of awards from The Walkley Foundation for Journalism, the Head On Photo festival, as runner up emerging Photographer of the Year from Capture magazine and most recently, an award for outstanding achievement from the Sydney Institute of Photography.
